#117 Pharoah's Casino Cards

By Barry Govan & Nigel McCullough. Everyone's a winner with these, a great give-away. Magician presents a spectator with one of these Casino Cards and performs one or two tricks with it, (and there are plenty which he can perform) as an example he may be invited to scratch one of the squares and his chosen card is revealed. The great thing about this card is that the spectator will want to keep this 'scratchy' as, even when everything is scratched off, he will still be able to perform several simple tricks himself for his friends. There is even room to include your name and phone number. Great publicity. The instructions teaching him how to do the tricks are printed on the back. These have been very cleverly printed in light ink, so that the spectator wont be tempted to try reading them whilst you are performing. Comes complete with 25 cards (scratchy's) and book of instructions with ideas for 15 tricks. Refills are also available, see items 121 & 122.

#127 Sauce Bottle Gag A great gag for children's shows. Ask the kiddies if they know what it means to be 'Saucy', you'll get some funny answers, you can explain it if you wish and then say "Who is the sauciest boy here?". Having picked one of them pull out this sauce bottle and holding it above his head turn it upside down and squeeze it. The boy will duck as he is sure he sees sauce coming out of the plastic bottle, others will laugh. Everyone then realises it is only a piece of red cord still hanging from the bottle. Could be great to go with Baking a Cake.
#131 Slush Paper Just like 'Slush Powder' only easier to handle. Cut circles and place in a Styrafoam cup, fill with water, penetrate with a pencil, nothing comes out then turn it upside down and the water has vanished ??. Finger clip a piece in the fingers and drop it into a glass of water as you move it on the table. Turns water to jelly. One large sheet will do a gallon, cut it to suit.
#134 Tear Apart Bag A utility bag measuring approximately 300mm wide and 250 mm deep, is displayed and a number of silk hankerchiefs may be placed inside. A spectator is invited to reach inside and remove the hankerchieves, however, his hand goes right through, coming out the botttom (A great opportunity for comedy here). The hankerchieves have vanished. The bag is next "Ripped Open" (thanks to Velcro) and it is plain the hankerchieves are not there.
Alternatively the bag may be turned inside out to show it is just a tube but when the magician reaches in he is able to produce handkerchieves.
Ideal for use with "20th Century Silks"
#138 Square Knot More of a Joke than Magic. A short length of rope is displayed and the two ends tied together. The audience is asked if they know another name for a reef knot. (Very few people these days know the answer) You explain that another name for it is a 'Square Knot' and that for those up the back "This is a square knot" upon saying this the rope is held up and it is seen it is now in the form of a square.
#139 Poodle Beads A short string of beads (10 supplied in each pack) are either displayed or magically produced. After a few deft moves they are formed into a Miniature Poodle dog. When working Close-up at tables this is an ideal way to finish if you then present it to one of the ladies. I've done it and it works beautifully. Comes in mixture of Gold, Silver and Pearl or you can request all of one colour.
#141 Appearing Wands (You get 2 wands) #142 Appearing Wands (10) #143 Appearing Wands (20) A magic wand mysteriously and suddenly appears in the hand. Just like the 'Chicane' line of production items except these appear instantaneously. Palmed or clipped in the hand these are only 1 cm diam x 4 cm long (3/8" x 1.5"), expanding to 8mm diam x 50 cm in length (5/16" x 19")
Easily clipped between fingers or thumb and palm (just like a coin), relax the hold and it suddenly appears. Great for Close-up. Comes with a dozen ways to use it.
You receive 2 Wands, a traditional wand in black with silver tips and a colourful party type wand. Children's performers could even give one away to the birthday child.

#159 Magic Wand 400mm (16") Traditional Magic Wand, black with white tips made of plastic but looks the part.

#163 Magic Rising Wand 16" Traditional Magic Wand, black with white tips same as item #159. Wand is held in the hand vertically, mysteriously it starts to rise, sliding through the fist as if it has a mind of its own. It can be pushed back down in the fist, and yet it rises again and again. The wand may be held horizontal, and now it again moves, this time to the side. It is at all time in the control of the magician. Great for children, when you look away it moves, they all cry out.
#166 Magic Glitter Wand 16" Traditional Magic Wand, black with white tips same as item #159. Add sparkle to your act! Wave the wand over whatever magic you are performing and magic glitter sprinkles out from the end of the wand.
#171 'Sleeve Flower Bouquet ' Made especially to fit into your sleeve so that at any time, by grasping the ring at the bottom, the bouquest can be produced in the twinkling of an eye. Each bouquet has 6 flowers and measures 28 cm in length. I got gasps when I personally used two of these - producing a bouquet in each hand at the same time during a two week run of gigs in Taiwan.
#176 & 177 & 226 'Thumb Tip Standard & King Size Thumb Tip' These thumb tips are the best on the market made of strong yet plyable material and the perfect colour for most uses. The King size allows a larger load whether it be an extra large silk hankerchief or for a salt pour. Item 226 is the the vernet Soft thumb tip

#182 Flowering Bouquet The flowering Bouquet is displayed and one by one each of the blooms is plucked from it. Mysteriously the Bouquet blooms again. The blooms can suddenly appear or slowly appear, the choice is yours.
#183 'Thumb Tip Rubber' These thumb tips are small and made of soft rubber. They could maybe used as a false finger. Flesh colour is darker than the Vernet style.
#184 '101 Tricks with a Thumb Tip' This booklet is a great place to start with for ideas of the thumb tip's many uses. Comes complete with rubber Thumb Tip included.
#185 'Clowns & Jesters Gaff Cards (CAJ Deck)' The Clowns and Jesters deck (CAJ deck) comes complete with the gaff deck, and the companion instructional booklet containing several CAJ deck routines. The CAJ deck is designed to be added to any normal deck of cards. They are red backed bicycle cards, which are commonly available. Each routine is explained in common language, and leaves out any confusing magic jargon so both the advanced and beginning magician can perform these great effects! Includes:
10, J, Q, K, A of Diamonds printed in black

Jack of hearts but printed with a Q and a heart in opposite corners
Queen of clubs and ten of diamonds on face with all pips pushed into one corner towards the 10 and away from the Queen
Pair of kings printed in twisted sister style
Normal King of diamonds?
the zero of hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds
Normal king of clubs with 2 half overlapping red bike backs printed on the reverse
King of spades, on the reverse printed quarters of kings of hearts, clubs & spades and a quarter red back bike printed as if ribbon spread vertically
The CAJ Deck includes 2 other cards. The Ace/Two/Three of Clubs is for a new variation of Gordon Beans TEMPTATION.
This is a hand held 3 card monte, which can be done without a table.

The King with 4 kings on the back is for a variation of Gordon Beans JAY WALKING.
And so it goes on with double sided cards with twisted sister style prints on both sides and in mixed colours etc.
#186 "Magic Siren/Whistle Sound" At any time during your show this mysterious sound comes out as you raise your hands to your mouth and apparently blow. Sometimes described as a police siren other times as a wolf whistle. Its under your control as you make it rise and fall in pitch. Your hands are immediately shown to be empty. If you like to be less magical, you can show the gimmick and just pick it up and blow it when you want the magic to happen. Use it instead or with the magic word.
#195 'Mixed Nuts Snake Can'
Like our Jelly Bean Snake Can (Item 161) only smaller taking up less valuable space in your case. Nuts can be heard rattling inside, when the lid is unscrewed a snake jumps out to everyones surprise. Great for Kids Shows.

#200 'Loop of Fate'
A small metal chain is displayed on the table. The right hand side is picked up and the circle is re-laid down in the form of a figure eight. It is demonstrated that one side of the figure 8 will catch if a finger is placed within it while the other side will not catch when a finger is placed within it. A challenge is made that they will never be able to pick which of the loops will catch their finger. Needless to say, you the magician are always right..
